Salivary gland tumor: Clinical, paraclinical features and the results of surgery

Background: Salivary gland tumors are the most complex and diverse of any organ in body. Assessing pathological characteristics salivary tumor, contributing to early diagnosis effective treatment as well avoiding tumor-induced complications is focus study. Objective: To study clinical, paraclinical features evaluate results tumor surgery. Materials Methods: 41 patients with who were examined at Hue University Medicine Pharmacy from Jun 2019 2020 recorded about evaluated 1 week, month 3 months after Results: Male cases majority (58.5%), mean age was 52.4±12.4. Majority parotid size CT scanner encountered between 2 4 cm (67.7%). Benign often had isodense 61.3%, clear boundaries non - invasive surrounding. Pleomorphic adenoma found among benign a ratio 24.4%, followed by Warthin (34.1%), other types remaining. After surgery, common complication numbness around earlope (77.4%), facial paralysis (41.9%), hemorrhage (29.1%), seroma (3.2%) fistula (3.2%). And submandibular wound (50%), (10%) hypoglossal nerve damage very rarely. Conclusion: FNA Fine Needle Aspiration, Ultrasound valuable for diagnosis. Surgery main method tumors.
